Francis’ place in the center of Athens was a great choice! The flat is located in the best possible area of the central section of the city, fully equipped and very clean at the time we arrived. The owner was very helpful explaining all the details concerning the house and further more suggesting places to visit and giving tips for bars and restaurants. I strongly recommend it for people who want to have the real Athens experience!

I happen to be an airbnb superhost myself so I can see every detail for every aspect of a house immediately... The whole concept of this wonderful apartment is the least to say a bright idea! The ceiling is the highest I have ever seen giving room to breathe and inspire yourself.... The whole decoration is a unique mixture of ethnic and local aspects with an international touch... The apartment actually touches 2 streets: Ktena and the world famous Ermou. It's one of the most central points of Athens and at the same time everything is 100% soundproof... There is a really special restaurant right there called Feedελ we tried it and you just cannot say no to it, the most special "cooked" cocktails accompanied with rare gourmet dishes... Everything is perfect and we will be back soon!

Absolutely amazing location! In the heart of Athens, it does not get better than this. The apartment itself is very spacious, with a super high ceiling, comfortable and stylish. Well equipped and functional. It has everything you need for a short or longer stay. Although it is very central, on one of the busiest streets of Athens, it is quiet and also very safe. Very highly recommended!!

We booked this flat because of the great views, but there's so much more to this apartment. The living room/dining room is a very comfortable space, with a cozy couch and chair, a dining table big enough for 4, and a large tv. And of course, the view!!! Not just of the Acropolis, but of the mountains surrounding the city, beautiful both day and night. The kitchen has a washing machine, microwave, oven, hob, large fridge, dishwasher-everything you need. (There's a portable clothes dryer - we set it up inside the flat while we were out for the day). The bedroom was a good size, and the bathroom was compact but nicely done, with a great shower. We only spent one evening on the terrace because of the weather, and I can imagine that it would be terrific in the summer - comfy seating, shade, and privacy. The heating worked very well, and we always had hot water. The flat is on the top floor, and there's an elevator. The location is only a few blocks from the metro, and we walked to all the historical sites. There's also a large supermarket nearby, on a main shopping street. I recommend asking for the airport transfer - great service, and our driver was so charming and gave us a lovely intro to the city. The flat was very clean, and we had no issues at all. I’ll be honest, I was a bit skeptical about the in-person experience lining up to the images and description in the listing. It almost seemed a bit too good to be true. Im a very picky person and Francis’ place more than lives up to it. The view of the Acropolis is absolutely stunning and the location is perfect for walking to nearly everything. The place itself has all of the amenities one could want or need for a few days or a week long stay. 1000% recommend. I was sending pictures back to friends and they were all like, “Whaat?!?” Amazing space.

What can we say about our stay at Francis’ place? From the minute we walked in the door we fell in love with the place and it’s incredible view of the city and the Acropolis. It was incredibly easy to navigate around the neighborhood and we walked most places we needed to get to but when we had to grab a taxi it was very easy to do so. Apartment was impeccably clean and the host left us with with all kinds of written instructions for the WiFi, garbage, restaurants and everything else we would possible need for the week. He even left us a complimentary bottle of water and wine and at the end of each night we came back to the apartment and sat there looking out onto the lit up city and the ancient ruins of the city. If you are thinking of staying in Athens and you get the chance to make Francis’ place your own for a few days, jump on the opportunity! Our friends back in the states saw our social media posts of the apartment and were already clamoring for the information on how they too could stay there. All in all it was a fantastic week at the penthouse and when we return to Athens we fully plan to stay there again!
