While the concerts (which were VERY loud) ended at 11:00 pm, the drunks shouted and screamed until past 2 am. This was every night. Even though the apartment windows are double-paned, the very loud noises from the bars below came in. If you want a place with a view, this is it. If you want to go to sleep before 2 am, it probably is not.

The view of the Acropolis from the apartment is truly gorgeous and exactly as pictured in the listing.We also appreciated the coffee and Nespresso machine. Although we didn't use it as the spring temperatures were a little cool for it, there was also a lovely patio outdoor area for relaxing, and an outdoor shower. Overall, it was a wonderful place to cook, relax, and see the best of the sights.Francis was very responsive, and proactively asked if we needed anything. If we come back to Athens, we would love to stay here again.

Also the bathroom heater was surprisingly great after showers. No complaints!There’s a pretty small elevator to get to the 7th floor, for those with accessibility concerns. The host left ear plugs for the city noise from the people staying out late - the streets were definitely audible from inside the apartment, but we didn’t end up needing the ear plugs. The host was great with communication and making sure we were comfortable. We’ve already recommended this place to a friend and would definitely stay here again.

The outdoor patio was extensive and allowed us to see all across the city in the mornings. I was happy to find a good supply of Nespresso and a Nespresso maker in the kitchen. We intended to cook while we were there, but the restaurants were so close, plentiful, charming, and affordable that we went out every night to experience the wonderful Greek culture and music all around us. Another significant plus was the safety we felt the whole time--whether walking up to the Mars Hill well after midnight, walking from one side of Athens to the other, or riding the metro; no one ever bothered us. We had a magnificent visit to Athens, and this Airbnb made it possible.

Very close to the Metro at Monastiraki to get everywhere easily, but there are also great restaurants and stores close by and of course the flea market!Check in was very easy and flexible. Francis sent out instructions that were easy to follow. The amenities in the place were perfect, the shower was fantastic, having a full kitchen and refrigerator was nice to stick up on drinks and snacks, the balcony and sauna (and views!) were incredible. One thing, the wifi was slow, so if you need a high speed connection for a work call or something else, verify the speed is acceptable for you. I would definitely stay here again, highly recommend!

Despite being in a hustling area, it was actually quiet inside the apartment so we slept undisturbed. Not just of the Acropolis, but of the mountains surrounding the city, beautiful both day and night. The kitchen has a washing machine, microwave, oven, hob, large fridge, dishwasher-everything you need. (There's a portable clothes dryer - we set it up inside the flat while we were out for the day). The bedroom was a good size, and the bathroom was compact but nicely done, with a great shower. We only spent one evening on the terrace because of the weather, and I can imagine that it would be terrific in the summer - comfy seating, shade, and privacy. The heating worked very well, and we always had hot water. The flat is on the top floor, and there's an elevator. The location is only a few blocks from the metro, and we walked to all the historical sites. There's also a large supermarket nearby, on a main shopping street.I recommend asking for the airport transfer - great service, and our driver was so charming and gave us a lovely intro to the city. The flat was very clean, and we had no issues at all. Thank you for a wonderful stay!
